Calling Believers to Authentic Christianity

Life Action was founded over 40 years ago to spark spiritual change in families, churches, and nations. This is why we call people to authentic Christianity—so the gospel light can shine brightly out of lives transformed by the presence and power of God!

Life Action believes that revitalization in families and churches is the key to transforming our culture for Christ and completing the Great Commission. Sweeping cultural change begins in hearts and in homes; more specifically, it begins with humility.

Throughout Scripture and in church history, whenever God’s people bowed in humble honesty before Him, surrendering afresh and then rising up with renewed vision, that’s when transformation happened! Churches were revived back to health. Spiritual awakenings swept through entire communities, redeeming and restoring lives. The compassion and gospel of Jesus Christ advanced across the globe.

Our Mission: To ignite Christ-centered movements of revival among God’s people that display His glory and advance His kingdom throughout the world.

Revival Advances the Gospel

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that life is painfully broken. Everywhere we look, we see the tragic effects of sin on people and society. The big question is, “Can the mess be fixed?”

God’s big answer is that Jesus came to heal all things through His death and resurrection. Through faith in Christ, anyone can participate with God in the restoration of all things. But how?

Some say education or innovation or social justice or international cooperation will heal the world. But we believe that the root of the problem is much deeper. We believe the heart of the matter is the human heart.

Jesus said that out of the heart comes the real corruption in life (Matt. 15:18). This means that change on the outside can really only come when there is a change on the inside.

All attempts to change human behavior without changing human hearts are like treating the symptoms of a disease but never dealing with the cause. That’s why revival is so important.

Revival is a word that gets to the heart of the matter. It’s a renewed relationship with Jesus that revolutionizes relationships with others.

The great news is that anyone can experience revival. The Bible says that if we draw near to God, God will draw near to us (James 4:8). It is possible to cultivate revival by seeking God.

For most Christians, the gap between what they know about God and what they have actually experienced in their lives is much wider than they wish it were. Some have tried and failed so many times that they wonder if real change is possible for them.

Revival closes the gap between knowledge and experience, making faith in Jesus authentic and real. Incredibly, God wants us to experience revival even more than we desire it for ourselves. He has even given us a road map to follow.

This website is dedicated to helping you discover and travel the pathways that lead to God’s heart. Our hope is that you will come with us on the journey of discovering more of God and His power for living.

Along the way, God might even surprise you with His presence. That’s because another aspect of revival is that God loves to pour out His presence on individuals, communities, and nations. And when that happens, everything about life as we know it changes dramatically. In fact, in wide-scale revival, society itself is transformed.

Revival. It’s just one word, but it represents God’s purposes and best for your life. In a world broken by sin, revival is a critical part of God’s plan to heal, restore, and change everything.

Statement of Faith

We believe in one God, Creator and Lord of the universe, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is God’s authoritative, inspired Word. It is without error in all its teachings, including creation, history, its own origins, and salvation. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters of belief and conduct.

We believe that Jesus Christ, God’s Son, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary atoning death on the cross, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended to heaven, where as truly God and truly man, He is the only mediator between God and man.

We believe in the necessity of the work of the Holy Spirit for the individual’s new birth and growth to maturity and for the Church’s constant renewal in truth, wisdom, faith, holiness, love, power, and mission. Every believer is called to live and walk in the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit so that he will bear fruit to the glory of God and not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.

We believe that all people are lost sinners and cannot see the kingdom of God, except through the new birth which takes place through repentance of sin and faith toward God. Justification is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, which is made up of all believers everywhere in the world, and that locally the church is a group of baptized believers who are organized to do God’s will. Its calling is to worship God and witness concerning its Head, Jesus Christ, preaching the gospel among all nations and demonstrating its commitment by compassionate service to the needs of human beings and by promoting righteousness and justice.

We believe that Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return in glory to raise the dead and bring salvation and judgment to completion. God will fully manifest His kingdom when He establishes a new heaven and new earth, in which He will be glorified forever and will exclude all evil, suffering, and death.
